Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the company’s books of accounts in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
    • Oversee the preparation of payroll to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time.
    • Ensure that correct journal entries are used in the preparation of vouchers payable and that Accounts Payable transactions are properly documented and supported.
    • Oversee the accounts receivable process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collection of payments. Ensure communication with clients with overdue accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with all Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns on VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other relevant tax obligations within prescribed deadlines.
    • Ensure compliance with the renewal of business permits and other licenses on a timely manner and in accordance with legal requirements.
    • Oversee the accurate and timely remittance of SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig premiums and loan payments.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, including but not limited to, closing of accounts and creating schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of general accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Experience managing financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and BIR compliance is required.
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or local accounting standards.
    • Familiarity with local tax laws and BIR compliance, including tax filing and audit processes.
